Troubleshooting

8.1 General Troubleshooting

Game Cartridge not running / black screen or corrupted video/audio

  1. Check and clean cartridge pins with the included cartridge cleaner
  2. Reset game with the physical reset button

OS update fails

  1. Check that the SD card is properly inserted
  2. Check if the SD card is full and remove any conflicting OS update files

Not powering on

  1. Check if the power is connected. When connecting the USB power cable, all LEDs will briefly flash white when power is detected
  2. Check if the power supply is compatible (PD 3.0, 18W or more). If incompatible, the power LED will flash orange
  3. Check that a compatible 4K HDMI certified cable is properly inserted and connected to both the Analogue3D and your display

Controller is not responding

  1. Check if the controller is supported in the list above
  2. Update controller to the latest firmware
  3. Re-Pair the controller
  4. Charge the controller if the battery is low
  5. For wired controllers, check and clean the connector if needed, then try reconnecting
  6. If seeing the USB warning LED, do not use that controller

8.2 Cleaning Game Cartridges

3D's Cartridge Cleaner safely restores the cartridge pins of your game collection without liquids or harsh abrasives. Dirty or oxidized cartridge pins are usually the cause of many gameplay issues. Clean the cartridge if you experience corrupted sound or graphics, sensitivity to movement, or if the game does not start. You can also clean other original accessories like the Controller Pak, Transfer Pak, and Rumble Pak, as well as cartridges from other collections.

1

Separate Cleaners

Separate the two cleaners by pulling apart down the center perforation.

2

Insert Cleaner

Take one end of the cleaner and insert it into the bottom of the cartridge with the white side facing the pins.

3

Brush Pins

Brush the pins fully side to side 5-10 times or as needed. Check the pins for a shiny gold finish. The oxidization will be transferred to the cartridge cleaner.

4

Repeat

Repeat this process on the other side of the pins.

8.3 Cleaning the Dust Filter

The Analogue3D dust filter will require occasional cleaning.
If the operating temperature is too high, the white power LED will turn solid orange. First, make sure you place Analogue3D in an area with proper ventilation, away from heat sources and avoiding enclosed areas or cabinets. Next, check the dust filter located on the left and right bottom edges of Analogue3D. If dust is present, use a small brush or canned air to gently clean and remove the dust.
